It's about time I created an about me. But what is there to know about me? Well, I'm not exactly sure...so I guess I'll first touch base on my "academic side".
My Academic Side
I would like to think that I'm a pretty decent student...I mean I do maintain good grades. You think I'm lying? Well then...let's have a look at my current grades:
Now it seems like I'm bragging...but I swear that's not my intention (but Will...LOOK AT THAT 92%, IT IS KILLING ME! Haha not really, I don't mind it all that much). I would also like to say that I don't know my limits as a student, and that can be quite tragic. I push myself too much...which has both its pros and cons. PROS: Due to my "oh yeah I can take on this challenge" attitude, I managed to get on Ross's green group wall. Which is honestly one of my greatest accomplishments (you have no idea as to how much that means to me). I also joined all honors this year, which can help boost my GPA. On top of that, I decided to take the Global Politics course and I now have three credits for that (which means I won't have to take it in college, and as Dr.Shelby suggested, I can now take underwater basket weaving). Cons: I decided to take all honors and that college course. IT WAS HECTIC AND STRESSFUL AND I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE! All those due dates piled and up and thanks to that I now have a horrible sleeping schedule (I am now accustomed to sleeping 3-4 hours a night...how am I still alive?). To top everything off....I am an avid procrastinator that can't seem to change their horrible ways. It's a wonder I didn't learn otherwise. But hey, at least now I feel like I can handle stress (or at least more than before), and my knowledge has greatly expanded. I mean sure there were times when I regretted putting all those things on my plate, but I'm also extremely grateful for taking those opportunities. Hard work pays off in the end, I guess.
Random Things On WHo I am AS a Person
Now to the more "random" parts about myself. I am most likely going to ramble on so read at your own risk. So just to make things clear, I love reading. It is honestly my favorite thing to do, and I would much rather spend my time in a library or a bookstore rather than...spending my time watching tv. It is one of the main reasons I chose to intern at Bluestocking Books, because I knew I was going to be surrounded by lovely books and other human beings that enjoy reading as well. As to what genre is my favorite...well I don't think I'd be able to choose just one. I honestly read a variety of books (thrillers, horror, psychology, philosophy, true crime, mystery, graphic novels, comedy, typical cheesy romance, the classics, poetry, etc). I do have a favorite book (if you're one of my friends, you've heard me talking about it...constantly): All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. That book means a lot to me. The writing is clever and beautiful. I cried about 5 times whilst reading it (I challenge you to read it if you have never cried whence reading). I am also, as weird as it may sound, completely in love with Theodore Finch. He is by far one of my favorite characters ever, and if a human being like him existed in the real world...I would marry him on the spot (I would say I'm joking...but as I'm typing this, I actually think I'm being serious). Some other favorites of mine would definitely be Love, Stargirl and Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli. I may have read those years ago (5th grade) but they still hold a special place in my heart. I'd kick myself if I weren't to mention Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury and The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (the movie absolutely sucked...I would only recommend the book).
Hmm, what else to say? Well I do enjoy drinking tea (welp, it was kinda forced on me...long and funny story) and coffee...and I'm extremely fond of sweets (like candy and pastries and such....and CHOCOLATE, my life is chocolate). However, I don't like candy corn nor any artificial green apple flavored whatever.
I also have a strange obsession with (brace yourself), clouds. I have over 800+ photos of clouds on my phone...and I'm not ashamed about that. Why do I love them so much? Well it kinda ties in with nature, I love nature and clouds because I think it beholds a beauty that constantly goes unappreciated. How so? Well, nowadays we're all too busy on our phones and using social media (I try to stray away from social media...yes that means I have no Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snap Chat, etc). It's as if we don't even make the time to enjoy our surroundings...so how can you possibly strive in a place you aren't fully aware about, moreover, one you don't appreciate?
By the way, if you couldn't already tell by my background, I like dandelions. This may sound quite silly to you (but I honestly don't care, we all have different preferences and beliefs), for I am a strong believer in wishes. I believe in the entire dandelion, 11:11, throw a coin in a wishing well, "make a wish" type of thing. Why? Well it's a long story...anyyyyyyyway, I even own a dandelion necklace...don't judge me.
I need to add on to this...perhaps one day I will...
