Welcome to my 'Spanish Projects' page. Here you will be able to see the projects that I do throughout my Spanish class.
The Travel Brochure
So in this project, we first had to choose a Spanish speaking country. Out of all of them I chose Argentina. We had to do some research on our chosen country. What was the research about? Well, we had to find out some interesting facts about our country, and we also had to find some interesting places that we'd recommend for tourists. Once we had all of the required research we had to make a brochure. Our countries flag had to be on it, and the popular spots in the country. It was as if a random tourist guy/gal would just pick up our brochure and base their destination off of it.
The Family TRee...
This is my family tree! Sorry if you can't really see the pictures :P !
So I personally enjoyed doing this project... kind of. So basically all we had to do was pick over 8 people (at the least if we wanted to get credit on it), and write down how they were related to us, when their birthday is, and have words to describe them. All of this had to be written in Spanish. But what actually made me enjoy this project was that you could choose ANYONE to be in your family. It could be a cartoon if you wanted it to, as long as you have the required amount of people. Just so you know, everyone in my family tree (the one I made in this class) well let's say they're not really related to me except for my older sister (which I didn't use a picture for her).
The Recipe
I am currently working on this project. So what my partner, Karla, and I had to do was choose a dish to bring to class. So the food that we are going to bring in is called chilaquiles. This a picture that I got off of Google images, so you know what I am talking about. Below you will find the recipe to make this dish, if you really want to make it yourself. But it will be in Spanish because that was one of the requirements. The Ingredients:
The Sock Puppet
The video above this is my finalized piece for the Sock Puppet project. So what was the process of this video? Well we first had to create a dialogue/script of what we wanted to go on in our video. But we had to skillfully include some of the required words that our teacher chose for us. Afterwards, we had to make our sock puppet. As you can somewhat see...my sock puppet looks like a pink and purple blob. But I sorta wanted it to be a bird, and let's just say that idea didn't work out. So now that we had our dialogue and our puppet, we had to make a test run. Which basically was for us to film our puppets and making sure it was at least a minute long. Once we met those requirements, we had to finalize everything. I chose a title for it: 'A Puppets Life' and I decided that I wanted to be somewhat creative when I showed any titles. In my opinion, this was project was...okay. It's not my favorite, but then again, it's not the worst either. It was fun to make, me and my sister (she was the puppet on the right) had a lot of fun while filming it. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! This is the dialogue used:Sock Puppet Dialogue: Puppet #1: Hola. Como Estas? Puppet #2: Bien. Y usted? Puppet #1: Yo estoy triste. Puppet #1: Te veo manana! The Required Verbs: Hablar, Gustar, Querer, Vivir, Ser, Tener, Co
Haiku
Vimeo
This my video for Spanish class. This video is so it can be put on Vimeo, so others could have an insight in San Diego. We chose Balboa Park, because it's one of the many places in San Diego, that gets our attention. Enjoy the video!
